The Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA), alongside the City of Las Crucesand the New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD), announced that Endurance Technologies Ltd., a Canadian manufacturing firm, has selected Las Cruces, New Mexico for its first manufacturing operation in the United States.

Endurance Technologies will locate its steel pipe manufacturing facility in an existing 45,000-square-foot building at the Las Cruces Innovation & Industrial Park. The project further strengthens the New Mexico Borderplex’s reputation as a competitive destination for international manufacturing investment.

Founded in Calgary, Canada, Endurance Technologies specializes in the production of high-performance steel pipe engineered for environments subject to extreme wear, erosion, and corrosion. The company serves critical industries including oil and gas, agriculture, forestry, and mining.

Following a rigorous site selection process that evaluated logistics, workforce availability, and utility infrastructure, Endurance Technologies selected Las Cruces to support its U.S. expansion.

Las Cruces Mayor Eric Enriquez emphasized the collaborative nature of the project.

“This is huge for our community, and it doesn’t happen because of one person — it happens because of a team,” said Mayor Enriquez. “We have to recognize the Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance for their work, research, and recruitment efforts to bring this company to Las Cruces. New Mexico Economic Development, the Las Cruces Economic Development Department, and Community Development all played a critical role. That’s how things get done — together.”

Jeff Pitura
, President and CEO of Endurance Technologies, Inc., echoed that sentiment and highlighted the importance of partnership throughout the site selection process. “Mayor Enriquez highlighted that it takes a team, and New Mexico should be proud of the individuals behind us — MVEDA and the New Mexico Economic Development Department,” said Pitura. “They were really instrumental in giving us a great level of comfort. We’ve been in several meetings together, and they get it. In order for them to be successful, they needed us to be successful — and that was the relationship we were really looking for.”

This investment reflects more than a year of focused collaboration to bring Endurance Technologies to our region. “Their decision to invest here highlights the strength of our workforce, the advantages our community offers, and demonstrates why the New Mexico Borderplex is a place where businesses can thrive,” said Brian Garcia, Vice President of Business Development for MVEDA.

Endurance Technologies, Inc received local incentives including LEDA, Industrial Revenue Bond (IRB), NMBorderplex Closing Incentive, and JTIP to support Endurance Technologies’ capital investment. The project is expected to result in the creation of 41 new jobs, strengthening the local economy and providing long-term employment opportunities for the Las Cruces workforce.

Endurance Technologies joins a growing list of successful Canadian companies operating in the New Mexico Borderplex, including Saputo, which has a long-standing presence in the region, and GreenPower Motor Company, which recently announced Santa Teresa as its new U.S. manufacturing hub.

The company is preparing to begin construction improvements to the existing facility and anticipates opening its Las Cruces operation before the end of the year.

Thank you again to all partners involved in bringing Endurance Technologies Ltd. to Las Cruces, City Council,
NAI 1
